FAQ

Some of the most frequently asked questions that we come across!

  • WHAT IS A PUK CODE AND WHY IS MY PHONE ASKING FOR THIS?

A PUK code is something that your phone may ask you to input when you have incorrectly put in the security number for a SIM card three times or more.

You should be able to obtain this from your provider by calling them. However, you will need to know your phone number, make and some other details.

  • WHAT IS MY PHONES SECURITY CODE AND WHAT CAN I DO IF I CANNOT REMEMBER IT?

This is where our repair team can assist you. If you contact us for a service, this can be sorted out for you. However, for some models the default setting will be 1234/12345 or 00000000. These are the numbers which we will set your phone back to if we work on it. Our service can be accessed by post and in most cases, you will have your phone by return post, which takes two working days.

  • MY PHONE HAS FALLEN IN WATER – WHAT SHOULD I DO?

The first thing to do is to remove the battery pack from the phone – as long as it is safe to do so. If there is any smoke, or bubbling coming from the battery, then do not attempt to do anything with it.

Also remove the SIM card from the phone. Dry off any surface water and send us the phone to work on. We will return it as soon as it has been thoroughly dried and tested.

  • MY PHONE IS ALWAYS RUNNING OUT OF POWER EVEN THOUGH I CHARGE IT UP REGULARLY

It is more than likely that you need a new battery. These can be bought simply, either in a phone store or online.

However, we would beware of vendors on some sites and advise you to buy from reputable sellers only. You can purchase replacement batteries directly from our site as well and our friendly staff will check and advise on the type of battery you need.

  • I CAN’T GET THE INTERNET ON MY NEW SECONDHAND PHONE

We see this problem a lot. Even if a phone has been unlocked there can sometimes be an issue with accessing the internet and other services, such as picture messaging, with an unlocked secondhand phone.

This may be because of a problem with the phone settings, or that they need de branding.

We can help with this and our service is prompt and reliable.
